This week, we’ve been on a break from school, but we stayed home in Jakarta. That’s what we did last October, too. I’ve found that in the pandemic I can be very content just to be at home. It helps that we have such a nice home to live in. I am continually thankful we lucked out on being assigned this house so we have space, including a garden with a pool, where we can spread out and relax.
And we’ve gotten things done. This morning we got our Indonesian drivers’ licenses.

We remembered that we needed to wear shirts with collars for the license photos, but we forgot that we needed to wear long trousers. Or at least Adam needed to. So they wouldn’t let us in. But then the guy we hired as our “fixer” found us a place where we could rent these nice bright blue trousers for the occasion. What you can’t see in this photo is that they are way too small and Adam couldn’t fasten them at the top. Problem solved.
