We had a busy summer in Iowa. Saw family and friends, did a lot of biking and a small amount of hiking, had an anniversary overnight in Decorah and a week in Wisconsin with Angie’s family. We also had an offer accepted on some land in NE Iowa, and so we’re now awaiting all the details to be completed for the closing.
As overseas teachers, we love the opportunities we get from our jobs, but we’ve started dreaming of a time when we’ve closed that chapter and started a new one closer to home. So, this is the first step. It is exciting and scary both, and we’re pretty pleased we found somewhere so much like what we’ve dreamed of owning. It’s not a done deal yet, but it’s close.
